ERA Woods Group's History
A Brief History of ERA Woods Group
ERA Woods Group came to life in 2002 as an expansion of The Woods Real Estate Group. Founded by Ray and Carol Woods their daughter Christine and her husband Brian Hatfield, The Woods Real Estate group had grown from those initial four to an organization with over 70 agents. It became obvious to the management team that for the company to continue to grow they needed to be part of a franchise with national exposure; a company with the tools and technology required in today's world of real estate. After exhaustive research of all the franchise opportunities available, ERA emerged as the perfect fit for The Woods Real Estate Group. ERA had the tools, training, support, and national recognition which fit exactly with the Wood’s Group guiding principle that success is based on serving the client and serving the agent!
After 6 years as ERA Woods Group, Carol and Ray decided it was time to turn the company over to the “younger” generation. In 2008 they sold the company to Christine & Brian Hatfield and Greg & Crystal Buchanan.
The company focus remains constant: “Serve the client and serve the agent!” The success of this simple motto is evident to anyone who visits our office. Using it as our guiding light insures ERA Woods Group will remain a force in the Lexington real estate market for years to come.
